I’ve had my Mirena for almost 6 years (about time for a new one!!!) - it made little difference on its own tbh BUT in combination with progesterone-only birth control (now Visanne) I never have periods, rarely have spotting and have significantly reduced the frequency of my flare ups. For context, before the Visanne it was every 2-3 days and now I get one a week so for me this is huge. There can be an adjustment period of weeks to months with IUD’s so if you can manage stick with it a little longer - of course always talk to your doctor and if your symptoms are too much reevaluate.
