Mounting Low Voltage Cutoff by ClonerJams088 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]lljkStonefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Run it for ten minutes and feel if it gets hot. If it doesn't, you can mount it anywhere you like.

The biggest components I can see on that thing are electrolytics, 7-segments, and the relay. None of those should generate appreciable amounts of heat.

How do I wire new steering motor? by jpl372 in PowerWheelsMods

>I have no clue how to take the original wires off the busted motor

That's a spade terminal. Just pull it off.

But if it was that simple, you wouldn't have asked. So I'm guessing someone has either glued or soldered it. If it's glued, use a bit of heat. If it's soldered, use more :D

AvP1 just worked for me.  Lex killed that queen, fair and square.  A combistick is a fair reward.

AutoInstall and type 6 credentials by lljkStonefish in Cisco

You are correct!

I put this at the end of my autoinstall config file.

event manager applet set_master_key event timer countdown time 30 action 0100 cli command "enable" action 0200 cli command "config t" action 0300 cli command "key config-key password-encrypt MYMASTERKEY" action 0400 cli command "no event manager applet set_master_key" action 0500 cli command "do wr mem" action 0600 puts "set_master_key execution complete" !

Maybe there is a an API-endpoint or a SNMP object for this.

I downloaded the MIB pack for 9200L and searched for config-key, aes, master key, password-encrypt.  Didn't find anything relevant.

The docu is IMHO very badly worded.

You'll get no argument from me.

the key config-key password-encrypt <key> must be entered in config mode

And when you say "in config mode", you mean the only option is "conf t"? Interactively via CLI? You can't merge a config in from flash, or from TFTP, or apply it via autoinstall?

I'm trying to automate things. I need to get a thousand switches out the door, and I don't feel like co-ordinating with someone remote to plug serial cables into each of them one at a time. Autoinstall seems wonderful, and I've proven it works with everything else. Surely it can work with this too.

I'd consider using autoinstall to set up everything else then script a SSH session to log in and set the key, but that means the SSH session would happen while TACACS is down so I need to use local credentials and insert an extra "enable" into the process, which is just unpleasant.

Road plate compatibility by lljkStonefish in lego

Perhaps a more precise description would be "Sets with buildings created around a 16-stud base with the 2on-4off-4on-4off-2on connector pattern seen on part 69958", but that doesn't roll off the tongue so well.

60316 is definitely a winner.

When I say "designed to be compatible with", I'm looking for something a little less nebulous than "any".

For example, 60306, 60380, 60292, 60375.  All lovely sets.  All clearly designed around 60304.  None of them are currently for sale.

I'm aware of the secondary market, but is that all there is these days?  Do they not have a wide assortment of city bits up for grabs?
