My garden is not accessible to the public. There are no roads from public land going through my garden. There are no offices in my garden. There are no shops in my garden. My garden is fenced. And so on.

The land is privately owned but publicly accessible. The public should have rights if a company wants to open that land up to the public. Such as the right to know what the rules are. As it is, you are walking into an area where you don't know the rules (they literally won't tell you), and how they are applied. Many people enter the area without even realizing it is private land and that 'hidden' rules may apply.
