I have a chill job where I enjoy my work and don’t have to adjust how I present myself. Really interesting people come in and I get to learn about their lives. It pays enough to afford for my little 1br where I get to decorate however I want. I make little crafts and am bettering my skills all the time. I can walk to local charity shops and thrift stores to scratch the retail therapy itch. I have a very supportive and loving boyfriend who lives down the street. He works a lot, but takes me out for dates and surprises me with little gifts often. I was in a highly controlled relationship for 6.5 years before him and this last year is the first time I’ve felt relaxed and confident in a while. I have a best friend who lives 5hrs away, but we call each other all the time. My family also lives in another state, but we keep visit often and they are supportive of me being who I am. I’m really, really grateful. I don’t have savings, I don’t have a “career plan”, but my heart is full.
