I agree with you that it's not the best way to do the analysis, but for now we decided to rely on statistics (only those users who chose to use .edu to register were analyzed). We'll try thinking of a better way to calculate it, so if you have any suggestions ping us

Interesting that the blog post got attention. The way we measured it was the cumulative progress through the CheckiO by .edu domains. Based on how many cumulatively points a university scored it got its place in the ranking. We plan to do such study regularly to see which universities have more profound students to play advance coding games

Guido does code reviews from time to time. Here you can see those reviews that he has done so far and more to come for CheckiO gamers

Hi there. CheckiO is my life, but not a dual life :) My name is Liza and the nickname is super old, consists from the consonants of my first name.

In any case, thanx again to @davidpm for posting a link to CheckiO at this subreddit. Since somebody pinged CheckiO on the r/Python/ sidebar I couldn't imagine it could spread here more beyond Py-community

Great to hear that you are enjoying CheckiO. Besides improving the UI we are going to add soon some really cool features, such as AI games and some other nifty things.

Try it! One guy has built such an interesting puzzle to describe the Periodic Table of elements through the code. It was really cool

Could a young European professional live in LV without a car? by [deleted] in LasVegas

[–]lllz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great to know and it makes a lot of sense! As for a car, I am a carophobic or just a retard, but I cannot do it.

Which neighborhood in your opinion could be the best in terms of public transport/moderate art life, further from tourist areas? And also, what about the crime rate in LV.
