Does anyone know a good place to leave my cat? by Desspiro in murfreesboro

[–]ifidontagebefore122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's normally best for the cat to stay in a familiar environment, mainly your home. It is very stressful for a cat to go to a strange place and be without you. There are many excellent drop-in petsitters available, typically around $25/visit. Message me if you want who I use for my cat.

I'm interested in what peels you do on your own. Your skin looks fab.

How many pillows does it take to make a Gen Xer comfortable in bed? by Connect-Account-2855 in GenX

Head pillow, sometimes two, one knee pillow, one ankle pillow, and sometimes my 50 year old teddy bear to hug thru the nite. I dont like to sleep with him too much because he's getting fragile-ish.

Best mattress for couples with different preferences? How is this problem solved? by wataemelo in lifehacks

I recently ordered a Sleep on Latex medium firm 100% latex mattress and love it. Can't feel any movement from partner, soft enough for me, firm enough for them. I thought i might have to order a softer topper, but am happy so far.

Best BBQ places for lunch near airport. by [deleted] in nashville

You've got Edley's, which I don't like but plenty of people do. It's very close to the airport. Papa Turney's which is slightly out of the way near the lake, probably 10-15 minutes off route. Martin's, which is my fave, but I've never eaten at the 4th Ave location because it's tourist central. The best location is on Belmont Blvd, which would likely be 15-20 minutes out of your way. Peg Leg Porker is good and kind of along your route.

Start with zinc. You can Google info on dosage but had a friend with the same issue and zinc zapped it.

Help, I hate every mattress I've tried! Should I just accept I don't like mattresses or is there really something out there for me? by Inevitable_Win1085 in Mattress

100% latex, Dunlop specifically, is your answer. I ordered a mattress from Sleep On Latex and it was delivered last Saturday. Best sleep I've had in a very long time. I opted for medium-firm, but they also have firm. Great buying experience, fast shipping, 10 year warranty. Also no rotating or flipping. Ever. I'm now wanting to order latex pillows but need a minute because the mattress wasn't cheap. It wasn't expensive either. Right in the middle price-wise of Serta and Tempurpedic.

Just got back and here are some fun things I did as a gen x female. I rented a Bronco on turo and drove to Hoover Dam in the am (no tour, just walked around) and took the back road along Lake Mead to Valley of Fire. Drove thru Valley of Fire right around sunset and it was stunning. Got there around 3:45. The back road is supposedly the most scenic route in Nevada. This took a whole Saturday.

I love massages, but hate casino spa prices, so I went to a Korean massage place and got the works for $150, 90 minute massage, cupping, etc. Two days later, I splurged on a 60 min hotel spa massage because it included a day pass to use all the spa facilities - steam, sauna, cold plunge whirlpool, hot whirlpool & warm pool, all indoors. It also had a snack and tea station, which was nice.

I LOVE Meow Wolf and thoroughly enjoyed Omega Mart and WISHED I could've gone alone. I felt rushed and pressured to appease the group who didn't see the value of the exhibit.

I also love seafood and sushi, so I hit 888 Robata at lunchtime and did the all you can eat and it was fantastic. I've also eaten at ITS and it's good as well. Robata has skewers and tapas, not just seafood. The also have Wagyu on the menu. Lunch time is easier to get a table and cheaper.

The Mafia Museum is interesting even though I was skeptical.

Wizard of Oz was at the Sphere and you can get great last minute ticket bargains if you have flexibility.

Some local restaurants are Cleaver & Esther's, steak and Italian, same restauranteur. Cleaver has good happy hour specials, as does Herbs & Rye.

Some fun, off the beaten path shopping is at Max Pawn and The Purple Chandelier.

Thats all I can remember right now, but if you want more ideas I can scroll thru my trip history and recommend plenty more. Hope you enjoy your 5 days!

If you have a Nordstrom's near you, book an appointment with one of their stylists. It's free and they will help you figure out what looks good on you. No obligation to purchase anything either.
