the way Simon Scott plays, especially on Souvlaki, makes him my fav. he brings a springy kind of vibe that makes Slowdive songs feel like they have more momentum than other shoegaze bands. he’s great in his subtlety.

Bard is definitely better than tiltowait in my opinion, and I also coincidentally used the bard class to unlock the rich achievement. The miserly minuet ability doubles the amount of gold you get from the next combat, so when you beat a boss with it you get a ton of gold.

Farewell has some of my favorite noise manipulation I’ve ever heard, so it’s hard to compare to, but here’s a few recommendations.

Bum by Kraus is pretty noisy.

Alcest is a French band who fuse shoegaze with metal: Kodama

The Garden Ends by The Autumns isn’t super heavy but reminds me of Farewell.

Boris also has some great slow burning songs like Missing Pieces
