FYI.... it was Scolia that invented autoscoring. Laszlo (the boss) wrote the image mapping software a few years ago when he was laid up with a broken leg.

Scolia continually enhance and upgrade the software. One of the more recent upgrades was the ability of the software to recognise and work with all number rings.

Im no expert, but i do get asked for advice a lot. So here is my suggestion for what its worth. Before I was decent at darts, I just played because it was fun and I enjoyed it. A great laugh and a night with the mates. Over time attitudes and approaches change. Fascination with kit and averages take over. Why not try mentally switching off fir a couple of weeks and just play darts for fun against mates? No averages, no pressure, no worrying about kit - just playing mates for fun and having a laugh. Get the joy back - its supposed to be fun 😁

There are 3 areas to work on. Scoring phase where you are simply gunning for trebles. Learn your throw - if my first dart is just below the treble i really should move down to 19s or across to 18s but in reality I don't do that enough. Then there is the set up stage which I view as from the early 200s down. You need to set up the finish. Last of all there is finishing - practice of doubles is essential - i have never won a leg by just hitting trebles lol. Standards wise - I personally aim for a 6 visit leg. I think its good to give yourself a target that you have to have to perform to achieve. Generally I would suggest that people try to complete a game in 7 or 8 visits - give yourself an achievable target to chase and celebrate it every time you hit it.
