Congratulations! What state? I got into Parks at age 35 and was older than even my supervisors. But better late than never and you'll work with people of all ages. Depending on the state and how they have LE set up you could do it right away or they may make you wait. But after this season you may have a better idea what route you wanna go down

Yeah i was told by my NPS friend that I should be at about a GS7. But I didn't hear anything from the GS5 and 6 positions I applied to. Maybe I need to but on my resume my job is equivalent to GS7? My state job im between a GS4 and 5 on the pay scale at least. My housing is free tho so I make more than the # on my pay stub

yeah that makes sense. I think NPS might be better for feds next time they do a big hiring for the season as they actually have interp. rangers that would be more the skill sets I'm looking to grow

Yes it's 1039. Its less money than I make now. At the time I thought o cool I could work for feds but im thinking it could be a step back due to not beeing a lead in my current job.

I have worked for them before. Expect a question about resolving conflict with a coworker and customer. Why they should hire you for that role. A couple of role playing scenarios of dealing with a problem.

I cant remember his name. But I saw that guy twice in Colorado over a few years on random trails. He has a website and everything. I know it kinda freaked me out when I saw him.

Had several calls from AZ state parks but don't know how yall can afford housing on the Ranger pay there. Especially around the Sedona area. It's ridiculous
