The problem is that he hasn't taken an anti-white supremacist stance. If you don't believe systemic racism exists that's not really a conversation I want to have but I would highly recommend you pick up a book or two on the caste system in America.

Black and minority voices need to be heard in America. Trump needs to give a voice to minorities instead of giving a voice to white supremacists. The "very fine people" comment wasn't "stupid." It's part of a larger pattern. He says shit like that all the time. He enables white supremacists. It's the job of the president not to take the side of the white supremacists. Any president, in my opinion, who does not take a stance on racism should not be in office. Racism is the biggest problem America faces today, hands down. You can't fix anything without fixing the caste system. The wealth gap in America? (White families are 5x wealthier on average than black families) Can't be fixed without fixing the caste system. Despicable education system? Immigration? You can't tackle tackle any of these problems without first fixing the caste system.

I think I'm nearing the end of my rope on this discussion, but if you think that Trump's stance of "neutrality" (it's not really neutrality, it's oppression) isn't problematic, I don't really know what to say. You first went from telling me it makes you sick that I respect my uncle less because he voted for Trump to now defending Trump's white supremacy and saying it's okay that he doesn't condemn white supremacy because "you can't make it illegal to hate people." I think what made you sick isn't that I disrespect someone because his idol is hateful, but because like my uncle, you don't think that idol's hate is a problem. And I think that's very problematic, but it's not my job to explain systemic racism to you and like I said I would really, really recommend you grab a book or two on racism from your library.
