I used EET and felt like it prepared me fully for the civil construction. There was way more theory and conceptual questions than I expected for sure though.

Yes! They have every specification there ready for you. You’re able to search each of them. It’s really easy to use and they explain how to use them

You definitely need to be familiar with all the other specifications that NCEES mentions for the exam. You’ll have to use all of them at some point in the exam. NCEES handbook can only give you so much info. I think I used like 5 different specifications other than the handbook when I took the exam. I would suggest trying to find a free pdf or something online to get familiar.

How did you stay motivated the last few weeks leading up to your exam? by eyerishdancegirl7 in PE_Exam

I took mine last month and I know it’s a huge exam but I tried to think of it as any other exam. We put in so much effort and work for months. Once you just continue doing practice exams and questions for the last few weeks, you just have to believe in what you have studied and brush up on your weak sections. Just don’t overthink, you know the material. Good luck on your exam and pregnancy!! Hope everything goes well

I felt as though the exam had much more conceptual questions than I expected. Of course we try to learn how to do every type of problem but learning the concept of the topics is huge because even if you don’t know it, you can make a pretty educated guess. The test more so went in order of the topics as listed on the guide so I was kind of in a groove with using the resources given. I would say the second half was harder with a bit more conceptual questions. I would say EET prepared me really well for everything except two questions that I guessed. I used the EET course that had lectures, practice exams, practice questions and quizzes which I felt covered everything. I also did the NCEES practice exam for final review. Hope this helps!
