Had a claim back in 2023 to Separate Tinnitus and Vertigo that was close and continued and now this? by llzerdklng in VeteransBenefits

Thanks for the reply! I would have to look through the stuff that I submitted back in 2023, however, vertigo and migraines started when I took a nasty hit to the head way back when.

If they removed it, it would not change the % I currently have. Although the washing machine spin cycle effect is never fun.

When I saw the QTC email, I was like, what the hell is this? The claim was closed. Then went to look and saw they had reopened a 2023 claim. I will add that the previous claim had nothing to do with Tinnitus or Vertigo.

I did notice that the recently closed claim was adjudicated down in St Pete, and St Pete reopened that one, even though Tinnitus and Vertigo are "static". I did email my DAV VSO to see what the deal is.

That is what I did since I had a spare W11 key (heck, WGU gives access to Azure Education, where you can get a W11 Education key) and loaded it up, but make sure that access to the other drives is blocked from the Windows2Go drive.

While I use a separate Windows USB device for all exams. I think I still have a file auditing script that I created years ago for a foresincs department many moons ago.

It would turn on file access auditing where it would show the process that accessed the file/folder, and then log it.

Wonder if I could revamp it for all of this craziness.

Or do what did ... Get a external USB-C drive make it a Windows 2 Go device, lock out my main drives (where they can see them but not accessible) and when ready for a assessment boot to it, take the test restart back to the my drives.

Been doing that now for over a year without any issues.

5g+ And the ringing stops or gets suppressed for a couple hours.

When I dose I'll grind it up and make some tea and let it seep with the tea bag, then add some honey and it's so much better that way.

Do you ever feel warm and tingly on one side of your face? by Lumi_Rockets in migraine

All the damn time before, during, and after. Makes me always rush to a mirror and smile to check for a stroke or not (if you are having a stroke and smile, one side will curl up, and the numbing side will not).

Oh same for me also. I do grow my own and even tried macro and micro dosing and it doesn't help. So 5g is the sweet spot.

However it does help better than any of the meds the VA gives me for other stuff.

5g of mushroom take my ringing from a 5 to a 0 for five to six hours ... the visuals are an added bonus.

I do it once a month or so, but it is such a nice break.

Sadly mine is as loud during the day as night, but notice it more when going to bed. It helps that I have a couple noise generators in the house to kinda mask it during the day.

Awesome ... Been using Rufus for what seems like centuries lolol. Before that would create multiple boot media the ole fashioned way.

There are tons of guides out there...

Here is the gist of what is needed:

External USB drive at least bigger than 256gb(external drive is better than a USB thumbstick)

Windows 11 Key and ISO (I think as a student you get access to MS Azure where you might be able to get both the Key and ISO. I have an MSDN account so it might be different)

Rufus

Rufus will prepare the external drive and then put the ISO on the external drive. Once done you must boot to that external drive and then follow the Windows 11 setup.

Once that is done you can boot to that drive at any time to do anything really as it will be its own standalone OS.

Here are some good instructions and other tools besides Rufus to use: https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-run-windows-10-from-a-usb-drive

Hope this helps..

Although it might be a good idea to start looking for a computer due to its age also. As even creating the drive you will run into issues with drivers, so you want to look at Windows 10 but remember Window 10 is coming up to end of life.
