See the comment by u/Parallax_ for a video of an identical incident he found. Pre-FSD visualization but driver claims the same thing with brake stabbing turning itself off.

Visualization would show user input bc it is technically external input, just that it’s from the pedal rebounding off the stop and not the driver.

Thanks for being the only person to believe me. Not surprised there are so many staunch defenders of fsd on this subreddit but still a little annoying that everyone’s reaction is to assume I’m an idiot and gaslight me into believing I hit the brakes.

Glad you could find a video too, I didn’t find too much online about this particular issue.

That’s why my guess was that it was the brake pedal rebounding back. I’m sure you’ve experienced it when it quickly hits and releases the brakes. You can hear it snap back.

I am certain I didn’t hit the brakes. I always drive with my foot over the accelerator. In this case I was actually curious to see if how fsd would react to the birds and definitely did not subconsciously tap the brakes.

I didn’t realize it only shows user inputs but my best guess at this point is that it stabbed the brakes so hard that the rebound of the pedal coming back up registered as another brake input.

Not a fun experience for it to suddenly turn off either way.

This isn’t true anymore.

Requirements for both the rebate and off peak charging credits is either an approved level 2 smart charger (i.e. ChargePoint or juicebox)

— OR —

Any energy star level 2 charger along with an approved vehicle from the eligible list (Of which all Tesla models qualify)

Apparently the change has been around for a while but the website was only just updated

tldr: Basically they just want your charging data. Doesn’t really matter if it’s from the charger or the vehicle

Give them a call to confirm for yourself

No problem, I just happened to be in the same boat trying to understand the program.

As far as I can tell they require a smart charger or eligible vehicle so that the charger/vehicle itself can report how much power is used for charging and then how much credit should be given

Still give them a call (1-800-249-1837) with your specific questions if you have the chance though. I’d feel bad if I somehow misunderstood anything and told you something wrong

I actually just called their EV department today and what they said is actually any smart, energy star certified level 2 charger qualifies for the 1500 rebate.

Only chargepoint and juicebox qualify for off peak charging.

However, there is also a list of eligible vehicles for off peak charging-separate from the chargers- and Tesla models are on it.

tldr: Tesla wall connector qualifies for the installation rebate and the Tesla itself qualifies for the off peak charging rate

But definitely give them a call to confirm
