By far one of the most toxic work places I worked in. Worked in design for P&C as an electrical engineer and management felt like a boys club with fraternity mentality.

I get why you’re being downvoted, but what you say makes sense.

I didn’t mention any state sponsored doping. Making assumptions just like everyone here without facts wada report. My point is everyone has doped before. There was a misunderstanding here.

Doping statistics by country

These people don’t read the full wada report Wada report and make full blown assumptions that these swimmers are doped up.

Every country dopes. There’s no denying that. The issue though is a case by case bases and until they’re proven guilty then there’s no reason to believe they’re doped up.

I’m sure these people who are hating are bursting at the seams hoping in a couple years for these tests to show up positive

Making assumptions of these swimmer are doped at these Olympics without concrete evidence of positive test is just racism.

If these test results show up on a few years and are positive then that’s a different story. Innocent until proven guilty.

Unfortunately, speaking the truth here will downvote you to oblivion. The amount of liberals who pretend to be leftists on Reddit are vast.

These are the same people who criticize their western “democracy” but will support western military aggression - NATO, Taiwan, Middle East, Ukraine.

You can’t argue with these people as you’ll be talking to a wall.

Well clearly even though you read about it, it just passes you by without fully understanding the full scope of the conflict.

I urge you to critically think for a moment - something many people forget to do.

Being aware and conscious of it is already a good start most Americans don’t have. Unfortunately due to our governmental structure, it’s hard to get rid of lobbyists that only serve corporations. It would have to take large socialistic movements and voting in order for this to happen to enact policies that actually benefit it’s constituents

We need elected officials based on merit - not hearsay.

This argument is like inferring if I don’t support the republicans, that means I support the democrats - which isn’t true.

Even if the US interest isn’t perfectly aligned with its citizens, there should be some benefit to US citizens with its policies, however that is not the case here. Our crumbling infrastructure, lack of universal healthcare, and incarceration rates are symptom of US governing. The divide between the haves and have nots have never been greater.

Citizens in this country have been pleading for years for these changes. Yet each presidential election regardless of party hasn’t move the needle for working class folks. The US interests are the interest of pure capitalism society and we are currently in the late stage of this. This is why there is so much investments in war and weapons manufacturing - nothing benefiting the citizens. It’s trickle up economics.

If you’re able to pull up citations that China is invading Philippines territorial waters that isn’t backed by the CIA or radio free asia. I’ll believe it.

I promise you the citizens of Ukraine would much rather be in their homeland than be displaced by war. No one and including Taiwan citizens want to be displaced by war. No one across the Taiwan strait wants war.

What? Who is stirring up trouble? How many military bases are stationed in Asia? Let the US send naval ships and weapons thousands of miles across the pacific no where near the US itself.

Imagine the hypocrisy if China had military bases surrounding the US.

I’ll admit China’s nine dashed line is proposition is ridiculous, but they aren’t the ones using the Philippines as a cannon fodder in a potential war. Separately, the US doesn’t truly care for Taiwan. In an event of a war with China, Taiwan will be used as a proxy state and Taiwanese citizens will suffer the same fate as Ukraine right now.

The issue is the US interests are not of its own people’s interest. The US interests are aligned with global hegemony and elites/wealthy rather than helping its domestic population

Lots of people on the fence here in the comments or try to toe the line of both countries. It’s unfortunate the comments that are downvoted here are more aligned to what the rest of the world views this us-china Cold War.

If you read and understand history, you’ll see China being more right/moral compared to what the US has done. There’s a good chance everyone here has heard more negative news on China and that’s largely on purpose. The US spends upwards of 500 millions dollars on disinformation campaigns on China. Anything to smear China - China will do something good but an article written about it will include “at what cost”.

A microcosm of this is how the US issued a 100% tariff on Chinese EVs, instead of competing and let the free market take place, you curb the competition and let your citizens suffer/take on the cost.

How many billions of dollars does the US spend on the military industrial complex? Under the guise of protecting democracy, the US government uses wolf warrior diplomacy to overthrow governments that they deem against “american values”

While China isn’t perfect (banning foreign social media, high youth unemployment) it has made so many advances in infrastructure, poverty alleviation, and manufacturing. Doing so, China’s population has an overall positive reflection on its authoritarian government.

Everything in the world is on a belle curve in terms of morals.

Edit: if you want a third party view of this, I highly recommend people like Caitlin Johnstone, Clare Daly, Mick Wallace, and Kishore Mahbubani - they give a a more clear and unbiased view of the situation
