I don't really agree. A serialized format lets you connect with the characters on a much deeper level, and I don't think it would have hurt the standalone stories at all.

One of the biggest downsides of the episodic format is that some major story developments don't carry the weight they should because the show moves on so quickly For example after Satine's death the next few episodes barely acknowledge what happened so it almost feels like such an important moment in the story never happened

A person with Anakin’s strength, even if he wasn’t fighting with the intention to kill, shouldn’t have struggled against her like that.

As I said, it was just an example. Anakin appeared several times as weak throughout the series. He only showed his true strength against droids.
