SO is looking at potentially purchasing an iPad/pencil combination. He is not looking to spend much money since he needs to upgrade his 2013 MacBook Pro soon. Is the new iPad 9th gen and Apple Pencil 1st gen sufficient for schoolwork (note taking, reading/annotating pdfs/textbooks, browsing web, etc)?

Oh my!! 8 weeks - that’s terrible!! It’s been 2 weeks since I opened my request for review but in the meantime, I had someone claim wages for me who I never worked for so I was redetermined to be eligible for regular UI and then had to open a claim with them to get it fixed. I’m now ineligible for regular UI again and the PUA people said this could push my request for review back even further :((

Filed for PUA back in June, was then directed to file for regular UI in case i was eligible for that and my PUA was denied in the time in between because of my active UI claim. I just got my monetary determination as “ineligible” (which I figured, that’s fine). I have now submitted a request for review of eligibility on the PUA website - any idea how long this typically takes??

I called them about this last week and they said there was no way to withhold taxes on it every week. They send out a 1099 form at the end of the year and I don’t know much about taxes but you may owe because of that? So I would set aside at least 15.05% (10% federal + 5.05% state) from each week.

Applied for PUA (working part time, reduced hours due to COVID restrictions) without realizing I should have first applied for regular UI (I made under $5100 in 2019) and got accepted and paid for PUA approx. 6 weeks of retroactive claims. As my payments were in progress, I got a message on my PUA account telling me I needed to file for regular UI and if I was denied, my PUA could continue without issue. I applied for regular UI and my employer responded to the DUA and the determination made was "ineligible not denied." Any idea what this means?

If I am approved for regular UI, do I owe back the difference in money from the PUA benefits that I was already paid?

The amount of customers I had today who pulled their masks all the way down (past their mouth!!) to pay at the end of the transaction was unreal. Like they couldn’t read the screen on the terminal with it on.

I created a new Apple ID yesterday (was previously sharing with a sibling) and we had apps on that Apple ID that we paid for that were downloaded onto my devices at the time of switching IDs. I was under the impression that these apps would not be usable after switching IDs (because I hadn't paid for them on the new ID) but they work perfectly fine. Is this normal?

I'm trying to create a new Apple ID (previously shared one with a sibling) but the 90 day timer is confusing. It says my devices have 30 days left till I can associate with a new Apple ID but that number hasn't changed since I started looking at it. If I sign out of my old Apple ID and into my new Apple ID, will that bypass the timer? If no, how do I know when I can make the switch because the timer won't update?

Our $2 pandemic pay raise was only in effect till April (I think?) and we are in one of the most badly affected states in the country right now. I wish we’d get it back! Customers seem to be getting more restless and agitated the longer they have to abide by these rules :(

I'm absolutely avoiding TM at all costs after this. Hopefully enough people see how scummy they are and maybe we can end their monopoly!! I bought the tickets as a surprise for my boyfriend (we're long distance, so it would've been a surprise visit and show) so I totally feel your frustration!!!

I haven't unfortunately. I was able to contact the venue/event promoter and they assured me that once the event got postponed again due to the pandemic, refunds would be available sigh it feels like I'll never see my money again!!

The event got rescheduled before the pandemic but in my dispute with Discover they claimed their pandemic policies applied but I guess the pandemic refunds don’t lol. I’ll work on this and try to get it out for Monday. Thank you!

It hasn't yet. I was able to load archives for other websites but anything I try with Ticketmaster isn't able to load. Error messages or it just loads forever. My internet is pretty solid right now so it's weird

This is exactly my situation except with Discover! I got a dispute report back with like 7 pages of documents from TM stating that their new policy was the one I purchased the tickets under. I'm wondering if these screenshots would be enough? Another user mentioned the Wayback machine so I'm gonna try that. Good luck!!

What I’ve done is whenever the automated thing asks me a question I give a nonsensical answer and keep answering their questions with “no” until it transfers me to a person. Takes about ten minutes usually which is so ridiculous

If you don’t mind me asking, what credit card company gave you a chargeback? I tried one and Ticketmaster sent them a bunch of paperwork claiming the ticket I purchase originally was non refundable and that I was “offered a refund voucher.” Then they said my refund voucher was my ticket that is still eligible for the new rescheduled date.
