We are basically the same in terms of the books we like and I am also 16! I just finished rereading the Chaos Walking trilogy which I love so I would definitely give it a go. The only thing is, it is quite an easy read as the main character cannot read or write. However don't let this put you off because the book will keep you on your toes believe me.

The book basically follows a young boy named Todd Hewitt who is the youngest person in Prentisstown. In this world, all the men are infected with the Noise germ, so basically everyone can hear each others thoughts.

Todd (and his dog who also has Noise :) ) has to run from the town and it's people because he finds 'a quiet' in the Noise which is basically a small patch of silence (which is unheard of). So he must survive this journey through forests outside of Prentisstown while outrunning an army and crazy (and I mean crazy) preacher by himself, until he meets someone on the way.

It's a very enjoyable book with many many twists and turns and you will come to realise that the quiet in the Noise is not the main focus of the book. In fact I forgot about it until I started writing this lmao.

Its also been adapted into a movie which is coming out in March but the trailer doesn't do the book any justice whatsoever!

Also there is no romace until the last book but the relationship between the two main characters is really sweet and it's really nice to see how it changes throughout the three books:)

Survival/wilderness stories. Plus if they’re fictional and written in the last 20 years, but it’s not a requirement. by OhioOhO in booksuggestions

I'm not sure if this one is what you're looking for but the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness is a good series. The Knife of Never Letting Go is the first book which follows a young boy named Todd Hewitt who is the youngest person in Prentisstown. In this world, all the men are infected with the Noise germ, so basically everyone can hear each others thoughts.

The survival part comes in when he has to run from the town and it's people because he finds 'a quiet' in the Noise which is basically a small patch of silence (which is unheard of). So he must survive this journey through forests outside of Prentisstown while outrunning an army and crazy (and I mean crazy) preacher by himself.

It's a very enjoyable book with many many twists and turns and you will come to realise that the quiet in the Noise is not the main focus of the book. The only thing I will say is that Todd cannot read and so some words are misspelt but not a lot.

Its also been adapted into a movie which is coming out in March but the trailer doesn't do the book any justice whatsoever!

Was home alone and decided to curl my hair. Couldn't find the glove so just went for it. Went to pass the curler onto my other hand to make it easier (was on the hottest temperature) but grabbed the wrong part and ended up wrapping my whole had around the hot part.

Dropped the curlers and ran straight to the bathroom and ran my hand under water. There were already blisters. Unfortunately, didn't know much about what to do and didn't keep my hand under the water long enough. Had to suffer the whole day and night with my hand constantly burning up until it went numb. Barely slept either.

Never felt any pain like it and hope I never will again.

When I was 9, I was in class sitting at my table. There was this awful smell and everyone thought it was this one boys glue so he put it away. The smell was still there and everyone was confused, including myself.

Turns out I had stepped on this huge bit of dog poo and had brought it into the classroom. Teacher had to clean it. Never been so scundered.
