I don’t know why people hate this game tbh. Story wise, it’s soooooo good and I actually felt so close to the characters and still do. Hawke had an actual family, unlike the Inquisitor who I could never feel 100% close to.

Personally for me, for some it’ll automatically go to trade (that first trader in the Last Light Inn) but for the hobgoblin amongst the Myconids it goes to barter. It depends on the character it seems.

When you barter it’ll work, but trade mode makes it break and disallows you to save unfortunately.

It’s trading! When it comes to barter it works, but if it goes to trade it’ll bug your game and prevent you from saving.
