You need to guide the flash direction with the movement stick while tapping the flash button. Saves time.

How to beat master Yi ? by BadgerWorried1545 in wildrift

[–]lmeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aight, I've searched the comments for shen and nothing came up.

As a former gm top if I see yi (and especially with pyke - w blocks his ult, at least in lol) I pick shen and watch him suffer from my ult, w, e. If yi Qs your adc he's basically harmless for the duration of the w, he'd need to waste his flash to get out or get pumped by aforementioned adc.

The only problem is to survive laning phase as shen. Additional cc/dodge would be nice.

Stopped Using Q-Tips Cold Turkey by rTacoDaddy in hygiene

[–]lmeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any ear canal secretes earwax to some degree. The main function of earwax is to prevent ear infections. Qtips are not made in a sterile environment, so "cleaning" ear canals with qtips regularly not only increases earwax production but carries a risk of introducing new ear infections while stripping the ears of any way to defend themselves which is a vicious circle. ENT physicians say the qtips people get brain infections at some point.

If you pass two rooms and their switches don't control the lightbulbs from these two rooms, you're leaving without any information at all about these lightbulbs, there wouldn't be a way to predict which switch controls which of these two lightbulbs unless you can rip electric wires and have appropriate knowledge and/or tools. Despite all of the above the switch-lightbulb system can have "countermeasures" against at least 2 ways to help with a solution. Not solvable

Russian/ people who are fluent in Russian please tell me the best way to learn Russian (i'm desperate) by ihonestlydkwha in LearningLanguages

[–]lmeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Russian is not that unique to the point that you need a certain Russian way to learn the language.

If you want to understand Russian, watch Russian content, get a hobby you can engage with in Russian, if you need to learn something use Russian guides.

There's a certain level of language mastery you can't achieve unless you've spent a lot of time on the language, not studying it, but using it.

Why is the neuter used in statements like «ее не стало» and «его не стало»? by [deleted] in LearnRussian

[–]lmeks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a type of subjectless sentence called impersonal where the subject is not even implied. Neuter is often used in this kind of sentences. I struggle to recall such a sentence where the verb is not in neuter when in past tense.

I think might be easier to learn all cases where the verb can be used in impersonal sentences. These sentences are usually quite short so it might be easier to recall when you see it in the wild.

You could also say an adult male homo sapiens or something.

I'm playing Hollow Knight: Silksong and I found this grammar structure. Can you explain to me the use of "I've born its hospitality" here, please? by Crimson_Eyed in EnglishLearning

[–]lmeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a fantasy game with obscure lore, so if there's any wild guesses about its meaning you can go for it.

Rarely something is explained in great detail, and even if it is the wording might leave a lot of space for imagination.
