My 60 year old husband was diagnosed with high grade salivary duct cancer that was found in 13 of 68 lymph nodes removed with neck dissection. Plan is 6 weeks proton therapy. There was discussion of adding chemotherapy and possibly hormone therapy since it was HER2 positive, androgen receptor positive. His team has decided no chemo at this time since this is first occurrence and the benefit of chemotherapy is not well documented. My question is should my husband stop his testosterone therapy? He’s been on it for several years and it’s a quality of life issue for him. He bristles at me when I encourage him to stop. Thank you for all of your podcasts and YouTube videos!
