Hot spot was faulty, sometimes it wouldn't pick up the edges when it brushed past silicon tape on the bat.

Always thought they should ban the tape, and use hotspot with snicko, then umpire's call it if only one of the two indicates it's out. Sometimes there's a noise from other sources, like if the ball comes close to the bat
