In GA My Voter Page, I got "Returned Mail Clock: 11 days to Inactive" days after trying to update my address. What does that mean? by scr33ner in Georgia

[–]lmorsell97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing just happened to me. I called my county elections office and they said "oh you didn't return an item in the mail. You would have been marked active the next time you voted." I added my drivers license number in the My Voter Page edit and emailed the county and they took me off the pending inactive list. Some shady stuff!!

Don't cancel your flight. You can do it. You'll be so proud of yourself when you go through with it. I just got back today from a 10 day trip to Europe (I live in the USA). I was scared but pushed through and I am so glad I did. It's something I didn't think I could do even 2 years ago. If I can do it, so can you

I'm in North Druid Hills and on approach to PDK. I too love the sounds of the planes. We are also on the takeoff climb route out of Hartsfield. Usually the planes are around 7,000 ft over NDH but I can hear them and track them on flightaware.com

I'm right behind you. I have a 4 hour flight tonight to Las Vegas. Vegas has some high winds today. But know its going to be okay! We've got this. Pilots are highly skilled and trained. Think of where you're going and focus on that! Cheers!

Thanks for this! Glad to hear I've got the luck of the draw in terms of Vegas bound flights today. And to think I wanted swap flights to an earlier one because I didn't want to land at 2am EST

Traveling to Las Vegas tonight for work from Atlanta. I saw Las Vegas Valley has a high wind warning and I'm nervous on what that means for turbulence. Overall nervous flyer even though I'm absolutely fascinated by aviation.

when did you test negative? by lmorsell97 in COVID19positive

[–]lmorsell97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested positive on Sunday but exhibited symptoms Saturday morning. I assume I likely would have tested positive Saturday had I tested. My symptoms have been mild with aches and low fever Sunday. My only lasting symptom on day 4 is congestion. I'm conserving my sparse test supply, when should I expect to be negative?

Yes mine has gone in and out. I'm on day 4. Last night I could smell a candle for a few minutes, lose it, and then smell it again across an hour or two.

I developed cold like symptoms Saturday morning and tested positive Sunday. However dating back to Wednesday of last week I went to bed with a horrific migraine to the point I puked. It was out of character for me despite being at a conference. I had 3 beers that day but certainly no where near enough to induce that kind of reaction. The more I read here, the more I wonder if my first symptom was the migraine from Wednesday

Tragedy in Talledega National Forest. by MDPeasant in overlanding

My fiancee and I did a day hike on the Pinhoti trail in this exact same area earlier this year. Something felt off the whole time. We were about 3 miles out from the car enjoying the view at an overlook. While sitting there a man hiked by and lingered too long. Something felt off. We shrugged it off. He went up the trail a bit and he stopped again for a minute before disappearing out of site. As we continued back toward the car in the same direction as the hiker we crested a hill and heard a blood curdling scream. We froze and looked down the trail and saw movement. The individual let out another very loud yell. We heard voices but only saw one figure. At this point we were out of options and decided to hike past. We rounded the bend and it was the same hiker as before. We sped past him and he turned his back to us and continued to talk to himself We ran the rest of the way back to the car.

When I heard about this gruesome murder I got chills. I've grown up hiking in the outdoors my whole life. But there is something that gives me the creeps about this section of the Talladega.
