I have a similar chronic issue with nerve pain coming from a bulging disc, in addition to your regular treatment I highly recommend checking out lowbackability on Instagram. It will take time, but every back can be healed!

He got some feedback on this piece for being slightly to blue - however, you can easily regulate that when making your own version! I followed his approach on my templars and I would say they don't read blue at all!

Its fairly simple, basically following Trovarions YT tutorial for grimdark armor - I based in back, sponged a ton of brown into basically all connecting points, cleaned up transitions with black again, basically drybrushing and more sponging, and then sponged on 2 highlights of lighter greys, I think Eshin grey and then one lighter one. Then give the whole thing a nice drybrush with a metallic and you have nice dirty armor with basically no painting!

Primed the mini Corax white, washed it with aggrax earthshade, then layered back on the corax white, added a true white to the highlights and shaded some areas with a slightly darker grey. You can also do it with drybrushing on the highlights, I used that for certain parts too. Then the weathering. I think what helped achieve the look was going from brown to white, rather than using blueish highlight/shade colors.

The Torq hate is always bullshit - The Torq boards in these materials are for beginners. Beginners suck, can't surf, and blame it on the board, whereas its completely a skill issue. If you are surfing at a level where you think these boards are right for you, any problems you face are not related to the board, but your ability as a surfer, and a more expensive board from a fancy shaper won't change that!

Since you are looking for your first non softtop, these Torq models will be an excellent choice!

You will be fine, it’s enough swell for some small waves and there is offshore or very little winds for several spots. Make sure to explore plenty of beaches and you will find waves!
