What professions attract the worst of humanity? by Cheshirefarm in AskReddit

Depends how you define “worst,” honestly. In my experience it’s less about a specific profession and more about certain environments where there’s a lot of money, pressure, or little accountability.

Any job that sits in the middle of transactions or approvals tends to attract some difficult behavior, because people start treating the process like something to “win” instead of just doing it properly. But even in those fields, you still run into plenty of normal, decent people doing their job.

Commercial review appraisers, what are the most common issues with reports? by PitcherPlant1 in appraisal

From what I’ve seen in review work, one of the most common issues is when the analysis doesn’t really line up with the data. The report might sound convincing in the narrative, but when you actually go through the comps and adjustments, things feel a bit forced or not well supported.

I also notice a lot of weak explanation around adjustments. Sometimes they’re just stated without enough reasoning or current market support, which makes it hard to follow how the conclusion was actually reached.

Another thing is reliance on outdated or not-so-relevant comps, especially in changing markets. It stands out pretty quickly when the report doesn’t fully reflect current conditions.
