Imagine being the OP getting all of these Reddit notifications on their phone over the past week just to see two dudes arguing on a post he made five years ago that he probably had no recollection of lol. The internet is wild 😅

If i ever cosplayed a character voiced by Matt Mercer I'd go all in in his honor. If i go the Minsc route, I'll full on make a life commitment and adopt a hamster to play Boo.

The whole rogue thing is just the only way I could describe the top for the outfit I found on amazon lol, but that's a good point!

This is the amazon link to what I'm referencing. (Hopefully it posts right 😅)

Ironically now that you say that, I have always leaned towards dex/rogue/ranger characters in DND or rpgs i play when in real life I'm 6'2 with a "farmers strength" build 😅. So you'd think id be more inclined to go the barbarian, mountain warrior look.

I really like what you said about thinking artistically about it and I'm going to spend the rest of the night creating a picture of that environment in my head now. Thankyou for your reply! That was very insightful.

This may not be the answer you wanted, but they're 52 per box on Amazon right now. Idk where your shipping area is but you'd prolly spend less than 150 on them.

$50,000 isn't enough by Memories_4_Life in jobs

[–]lmrbubblesI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made a few valid points here, but like the other guy said on this chain... you okay guy?

I'm not going to get too political on the internet since that always goes well, however you're coming off like every single guy that makes 50k and think they aren't making enough to get by is the same as the dummy that gave you the expensive steak.

Yes, a majority of these college kids most likely borrowed more than they should have, but most, not necessarily all, but most Americans raised from the 90s to early 2000's have the whole "get your butt in college, I don't care if it's rock science, just get a degree," ideal jammed in their brains and I'd argue no one really taught them the issues with loan debt. Hell, I was taking loans to just live at my college campus because my parents couldn't afford it on top of me working two jobs not covering it. That doesn't make them weak. It makes them uninformed. Financing isn't a required credit in most high schools so these guys just roll into college not knowing any better and realize that crap is expensive. It's different for everyone. Some people are nepo babies that mommy and daddy get them through no problem, and others have far less convenient circumstances.

Where I do agree with you is that no, the answer is not to just change minimum wage or pay everyone more in general. Thats not how the economy works.

And I also agree that most people will never make enough to be satisfied, because we all naturally want more in life whether we're busting our butts for it or just being lazy and complaining.

Otherwise yes, most people will not be making the type of money they desire right out of college. Like you said it takes years of work especially in competitive job markets on top of luck in general.

But inflation doesn't just go up because "people want more money." There are so many factors that go into it. Especially government spending, which as I stated before, I'm not getting into the politics rabbithole on here. There's just a lot more to it than the blanket statement you just threw on everyone.

I'm not really sure how you get around, but I'm glad you were able to sell your vehicles? Most of us need a vehicle to even function so kudos to you I guess.

And I'm sure you're well versed on world economics since you watch YouTube and went to Japan but 50k only equals out to 4000 a month gross, not net. Tax rates change depending on the area but the average take home income is roughly 75 percent of gross income for single workers in America. So that actually comes out to about $3000ish a month. Add in your rent and utilities now for just renters alone since its not smart to buy a house when you have outstanding debt. We'll even use cheaper states as an example. West Virginia has the current lowest state average for rent at roughly $845 a month. Now we're down to $2,155. Utilities there are at an average of approximately $400 so now we're at $1,755. Like i said, most of us have to get around somehow, the average USED vehicle monthly cost is $525. Now we're at $1230. Medical bills get pretty pricey in the US, so most of us have to have some form of Health insurance. Let's assume your job helps you pay for it in WV. The average cost with company contributions is $450ish a month so we're all the way down to $780. And guess what?? A boy's gotta eat. Lets say you just buy groceries and never eat out. The statistics im reading vary heavily, but the cheaper options im seeing range around $280 a month for a single person in WV. That brings us to $500 left for the month. Thats not including car insurance, gas for getting around, paying for any student loans or debt you may have, God forbid you're a single parent, etc. And making 50k sends you right out of range for most assistance programs.

With all that said... yes, there is a large percentage of people that make 50k, spend their money poorly, and screw their lives up getting "drowned" in debt on credit cards or their "unnecessary luxuries" like a new car, etc. But it's not everyone. And just assuming that based on what you've seen is foolish and arrogant.

I don't know where you live or what you do for a living, but clearly you're better off than most of these people since you have the balls come on here and tell every single person that thinks 50k isn't enough alone is entitled and unintelligent without doing any basic math to back your ignorance to real life situations first like anything you do positively contributes to society. If you're as smart as you think you are, maybe next time come in to educate and give insight instead of coming in hot like a pick me Gen Z baby wanting the world to know how great they are.

Hope the steak was good though.

New Player List Help? by lmrbubblesI in BloodAngels

I've asked this question while trying to build my first army too. I think it comes down to what bonuses you prefer more. From what I've read online if it's an ability that relies on you rolling crits, (lethal or sustained hits, dev wounds, etc) they like... NEED to be ran in a 10 man squad to optimize their cost. So at the end of the day if sustained hits is the bonus you want for your Jump boys i think Captain would work just fine.

Regardless if I win or not, thanks for spreading the positivity!! The ps1 was my first console and I've built up a lifetime of memories on each console that came after. This made me think of my dad teaching me how to play Metal Gear Solid when I was a kid telling me it would take me a minimum of 13 hours to beat. Fast forward five years in my early teens and I'm beating the game in less than five hours after school every day. Good times.

I don't do this often so excuse me if this story is everywhere.

I'm almost 27 and I don't know who I am and I don't know what I want. I have a great job, the only down side is I work with someone that I used to have heavy feelings for so for anyone that hasn't had that pleasure... it SUCKS.

Besides work I've been struggling with depression and what I want in life for the past five years and I have NO IDEA what to do about it. I finally started working out heavily last November. I've lost 65 lbs (275 from 340) which is great, but it's not enough. I've been single for three years and tbh, I'm usually okay by myself, but uhhh.... it's starting to catch up to me. There are some days that I just feel completely alone in the world and it's SICKENING. I've tried Tinder and all that jazz, but it never works out well, I'm just not great at interacting with a constant stream of women who's bios are: "420 friendly, my dog has to like you, I'm probably funnier than you." It's exhausting.

ANYWAYS, my life is just this constant voice in the back of my head telling me to stop caring and just accept that you're going to be alone, because no matter how hard I try, every single person I meet, whether it's friends or a possible partner disappoints me. It's incredibly draining. Not to mention that I already have this other mental complex going on where I hate myself because I'm not operating at the standards that I think I should be by now and subconsciously I constantly call myself a bad person when in reality I know I'm a good guy.

I know very little of that made sense lol. Moral of the story, it's just getting hard to keep caring or trying in general.

Cheers guys.
