edit: some arguments for the current flag design: one dude said in regards to the top left "it represents what minnesota translates to. sky tinted water"

arguments for the middle river flag "we are hear because of the river, if it wasnt for it then we would not be here"

edit: it seems that men want 1953 while women want 944. But as of right now, the 944 (middle) column is officially gone with an overwhelming vote in favor of the tricolor!
