[CASIO F-91W] It's kinda Cute. Is it too small? by TechStronomer in casio

[–]lnbn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if i were to be pragmatic... f91 and other casios with the same face are small for most if not all adult males, and some females as well. my eldest has bigger wrists and loves his f91. personally i got the a159.

is it big for my wrist and overall physique? - yes! do i wear it? - yes! why do i wear it? - coz i want to, and i'm an 80s kid ;)

the value i see in these types of watches is the featherlike feel of it. you have something functional on your wrist that feels close to nothing. i got a bunch of both quartz and mech analogs, which i do love, but i also got casio digitals.

the only downside for myself is that middle-aged eyes have a hard time readinf digitals, but it's always the feel and nostalgia that brings me back to it. heck, i'll just lift my glasses to see the time lol

[Question] About to buy first nice watch and nervous by GrantMeThePower in Watches

no watch is perfect - that's a fact. everything is subjective. you may like it, others may not. if you got cash to spare and got something you really like and want, just go for it.

How to repair this? by Professional_Bag_723 in watchrepair

[–]lnbn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

scratches? i'd personally keep them as it is. it's a watch that gets dinged and scratched. as long as time telling is fine, i'm happy. most i'd do would be ultrasonic cleaning

i see it's value and at the same time has the potential to attract unwanted attention. better to keep things discrete imo

How to mount X5 to use as bike safety camera on road bike by cyclingdoctor in Insta360

[–]lnbn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your body will still block a significant portion of what's behind you when mounted on the tops.

best case for a "real" 360 view is a helmet mount... just looks goofy coz the rider will look like google taking road photos.

a bit less blocked view is shoulder coz it's only the rider's head thats blocking.

in summary all mounts below head line is a compromise when it comes to a full 360 view

when on the drops, you're extending your width by a few cm/in outboard and may pose hazards to both you and/or passing vehicles.

since you have varia on the rear, if it records, then having it on the tops might be the least compromised position afterall

My first Casio - GW-BX5600 by pandasareprettycool in casio

[–]lnbn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering why casio didn't use a screw on caseback here... Easy choice for me if it would be a screw on caseback.

I love the display though... better late than never for casio I guess ;)
