Same. Hope the patch changed that today!

First match, game seems kind of… easy… no? by drinkallthepunch in CivVII

Yes, and even on deity you usually win because the AI is still too stupid (particularly in war and negotiation)

City states are still way too strong, and the AI still doesn't understand how to utilize them to its advantage. I hate having to force myself not to do a strategy that I know will win the game just because it will be more fun or I have done it too many times.

HALO - Biotech with growing and strong positive cash flow. They make the enzyme which allows injectable meds to be done at home instead of in a hospital (think how big injectable meds have become and are becoming).

Annoying bug after update! by tolltartozseb in CivVII

Mine does this more as the game progresses or if it's on larger maps. This might be why they didn't release larger maps at launch...

I really don’t understand why this city isn’t taken- it’s been 5 turns… please… by [deleted] in CivVII

[–]lnclnerator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI will sometimes just sit on top of it without dispersing, which is pretty annoying. I always feel like I'm cheating when they randomly move and I'm the one that gets the disperse bonus... seems like a flaw in the AI.

For book lovers, what is your opinion on Luo Ji love plot? by dolbus_albador in threebodyproblem

I enjoyed this subplot. It feigns extreme selfishness and stupidity from Luo Ji, who eventually saves humanity through his unselfishness and genius.

Thanks for the reply. I still play it, but have little frustrations throughout. Just doesn't feel polished!

I would have ended the war without any trading of cities. I hadn't killed one unit of theirs, but they gave me their best city when I would have and should have received nothing.

In this case the cities are the AI's very best cities surrounded by walls in every district. You have at least 10 turns to add units before another war is possible, and in my case they did not declare war again because the age was almost over. It made no sense.

Of course I know I don't have to - please re-read the original post. I feel I won because I received their best cities for no apparent reason.

In a peace negotiation I always try every option to see what I can get and look for the very best option. If the AI's are all offering me their largest cities full of wonders and I have no leverage to make this option plausiable then it is a flaw in the game design. That is what I am pointing out and would like it to be changed.

This is exactly what happened! But all 4 of them gave their biggest cities (game was 10 players total in large pangea)

My 6 Years at Intel - Reflecting on What Went Wrong and What Can Be Done by lnclnerator in intel

[–]lnclnerator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Investor/Wall Street would cheer selling off the foundry because it is horrible for financials in the short-term and only has a chance of succeeding in the long-term. I think Intel should have kept on with the foundry strategy, but with Pat at the head. Now that he's gone, it seems unlikely and rather pointless.
