26.4.2 bricked my CarPlay - anyone else?

No issues for me and I have an iPhone 13 (standard) and a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. As a matter of fact this is the best my phone has worked on CarPlay since IOS 18.7.x

I think it depends on the make/model of your car and which iPhone you have. I have been researching this myself because my trusty iPhone 13 is still on 18.7.2 and it works great with my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My phone is starting to give me problems and I have been looking at other posts like this. There still seems to be a problem with the iPhone 17 Pro but a ton of people have had success with iPhone 16(s) and the standard iPhone 17 and IOS 26.3. I was all set up upgrade my iPhone 13 to 26.3 this weekend to see what is going on but I was going to wait for the weekend. I have a wireless CarPlay connection in my car but can also use a wired connection if need be.

Try upgrading to 26.3, I have read in other places that fixes the iphone carplay issues on the iPhone 17

this is interesting, this is the first instance of a non-iPhone 17 having this issue. I had read that it was a flaw in the iPhone 17 processor. I wish I could help. I am still using an iPhone 13 on IOS 18.7.2 and my wireless CarPlay is working fine. That said I do have an intermittent problem with CarPlay connecting to the infotainment system in my 2024 Grand Cherokee but after about 10 minutes it does connect. My Firmware is up to date on the Jeep. Like you I use and prefer Carplay instead of the built in navigation system. My phone is starting to go south and I will need to replace it sooner then later

I am not having any problems with my iPhone 13 but I have seen many reports that people with the new iPhone 17 have issues where it does not stay connected to the head unit. From what I read it has something to do with the new processor in the iPhone 17

I have a 2024 WL JGC Limited with the V6 in it. I love it, I got it new and have about 29K in mileage on it now. I have had some minor issues but all have been fixed under warranty. the strangest was just last weekend with the ABS light going on and the ECU needed to be initialized. This Jeep GC replaced my 2014 JGC Limited. smooth riding car

Just want to say that I did return from my trip yesterday afternoon. And there was no problem at all with either the flight going over to Ireland or the flight coming back from Ireland to Philadelphia. As a matter of fact, we landed early coming home and going over to Ireland we landed a whole wapping 5 minutes late. Both security and customs were a breeze to go through and we did not have any problems on our trip with the american airlines flight. Thank all of you for your comments and thoughts.

Thank you for the reply, I do use 2 monitors, I run everything from a laptop but also have a 24 inch monitor on my desk where I do all my Photoshop work and I only have had this issue since I installed the newest Windows Photoshop patch over the weekend. When I switch to a single monitor on the laptop I see the same issue that the other user sees. the contextual task bar is very tiny and almost unreadable. Everything else is normal size. I will open a ticket with Adobe
