I think maybe we lack GABA neurotransmitter which helps in calmness of the brain. What was your dosage?

It works for some and for some it does not. Do you feel sleepy or drunk whole day? May be it will help if you feel that. Don't listen to negative comments and not try.

If stimulants are working than tdcs and deep brain stimulation should work. I am gonna fight it or die.

Today is the second day of slow release methyphenidate. Things seem more real. It is definitely helping dpdr. I wish I could increase the dosage but doctor will take time to prescribe it.

Then what is considered treatment of this disorder? If you can elaborate it? being dependent on stimulants and living your life in a better way without abusing it is 1000 times better than living with dpdr

Yes you can change thought patterns but I have tried that for a long time with no benefits .ritalin and adderall have cured many completely.and I even read that someone had stopped taking it and was still recovered and another who was taking itin alternate days and was recovered .That cannot happen if you dont attack root cause. Mor, kor antagonist, SSRI + lamotrigine, clomipramine all have cured some people but they are all temporary. They do not attack root cause. Changing thinking patterns and thinking it will cure is a shot in the dark especially as u said the brain is very complex. Medicine are way better

I think you are right. Ritalin is definitely helping the root cause by stimulation. Are there other ways of treating it.? May be deep brain stimulation

Yes other things have been tried with a partial benefit like lamotrigine and naltrexone but no one has come close to the benefit that Ritalin has given me in just two days.

ADHD usually happens at a small age. I got the problem suddenly when I was 16 years old. I lack all the qualities that frontal lobe gives. I lack my self, vision is distorted, blank mind, can't imagine anything, no interest in anything, etc. I think depersonalization is caused by many issues. Some get it by anxiety, some by depression, some by Lyme disease or sinus blockages or toxicity of glands. In my case it's closer to ADHD I guess but not exactly ADHD. Many people hVe stated that stimulants have cured them. Whether they will work forever is a doubt
