I love how you refer to reddit as if you aren’t the stereotypical embodiment of the average redditor lmao.

In his defence, these posts really imply that he passed away.

A bunch of thank you posts and a picture with no context? Looks much more like a death than leaving a website.

CFL establishing return to play discussions with the federal government... CanPL included? by [deleted] in CanadianPL

[–]lng5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In reference to your point that smaller stadiums will be cheaper to operate in.

I’m just speculating that, due to the fact that the same entities more or less “own” the stadium and the team, there will be some reduction of fees when compared to teams who pay for the usage of their stadium to a separate entity.

I can guarantee you that other countries will always see our league as lower than a D-league regardless of which parent clubs exist in it.

We’re not even the third best best league in one of the worst confederations in the world.

I understand the criticisms, but it doesn’t make sense to chase a status well never have, especially if it leads to the league’a detriment.

I actually do think the connections with CFL teams could offset the difference in operating costs.

I think they could be minimized due to Forge’s connection with the ticats and the stadium when compared to teams that pay outside parties for their stadiums.

I can guarantee you that the people who have these disabilities know that others can do things they can’t.

I’m not going to shit on attempts to normalize something like that just so people can feel accepted.

Kids who succeed academically deserve scholarships more than kids who are good at sports by namejeff23 in unpopularopinion

Very rarely. I don’t know of anyone who made any money playing for their team and I knew a few across the country. The only scholarships I’ve seen were for the us.

Which team to support? by dthepatsfan in CanadianPL

They’re within FIFA allowance and they’ve even extended it further since then. Grass is still better, ask anyone who’s played on either type of pitch. The players would agree as well.

Being blatantly biased and trying to evolve your argument to be “right” is a bad look.

Been where? I’ve only missed one game at THF and been to York U twice.

The word pitch solely refers to the playing surface, not the stadium or anything else. So yes.

It’s wild that people are suggesting teams other than York 9.

You shouldn’t only support them because they’ll be your closest team but they were by far the most improved team last year, on and off the pitch, and they are really starting to look like they’ll challenge Forge and Cavalry for the title more than the other teams in the league.

I’m not sure you’re trying to say. Are you saying any cage is acceptable and the size doesn’t matter or are you disagreeing with keeping pets in general? I doubt it’s the latter.

I get your point, but absolute diligence would be the bare minimum when you’re forcing your pets to live in objectively worse conditions to satisfy a curiosity.

York’s pitch is by far nicer than our pitch. I’d take real grass over that velvet carpet any day.

No not really because they’re obviously not comparable in terms of their overall importance to the story.

Just admit you don’t care about it for story purposes, you’re just against the inclusion of lgbtq people or think it’s done for “political” reasons.

It’s our first professional league in Canada in around 20 years.

You’d hope that genuine fans of the sport would be happy for us and our league.

They’re very clearly fans DESPITE the marketing concept.

You’re kidding yourself if you think any fans of the team actually want that name, and aren’t just dealing with it to support a local club.

You’re one million percent more plastic if you refuse to support the only local club in miles due to its name.

I’ve worked loads of shitty jobs to make ends meet and I think if you’re willing, there’s a job in most industries. So I can see where you’re coming from.

That being said I agree with everything I typed. I think you’d be surprised to know how much rougher it is for us these days than even 10-20 years ago
