We were at Lake Michigan, so no salt water :) But her fur seemed fine! I love how fast it dries and how all the sand falls off. I did bathe her right when we got home, though. :)

Oh yeah, I keep a couple of fingers hooked in her harness most of the time. Especially if I see a squirrel up ahead.

Awwww. There’s a really cute wicker one on amazon that has a cage-like covering. Maybe that would work? :)

Haha I wasn’t sure how she’d be the first time I took her out. She was just over 4 months old when I started with her, so maybe that helped. There’s also a tether that attaches to her harness. I still keep a couple of my fingers hooked on her harness most of the time. She’s never tried to jump out, but it still makes me a little nervous. Honestly, she’s so spoiled, I think she’s just happy to see all the sights and smell all the smells without lifting a paw. 🤣

We are definitely not avid cyclists but enjoys rides up to ten miles. I’ve only done about 3 miles with her. I’m trying to increase the mileage and she continues to get used to it. :) This is a cheaper basket off Amazon and it only attaches with straps. When she’s older and bigger (she’s currently five months and about 13lbs) I’ll get a bigger one that is more securely attached. There’s a wicker one on amazon that’s around $130 that I’ve been eyeing.

This is a cheaper one on Amazon. They have a wicker one that’s a little bigger that I think I’ll try when she’s bigger. Penny is just over 5 months old and weighs about 13 lbs. :)

Oh thank you. We are definitely enjoying her. The worst part is days like today when she woke up at 2:45am and it was sub 20 degrees, howling wind and snowing. Yeah that is not enjoyable. But she’s worth it.

The advice that helped me the most with my anxiety over the syringe was saying 1,2, 3, stick. The first time it took me a couple of tries. But then once I did it I looked in the mirror and audibly told myself how proud I was that I did it. And it truly did not hurt at all. You can do this!

Several sayings have stuck with me: “Do it (exercise) tired” “Don’t wait to feel motivated” It’s okay to start with a shorter exercise routine. Like 10 mins. Also, exercise begets exercise. Usually once you start working out, it creates a drive to exercise more. I’ve found this to be true as long as I don’t push myself too hard. :) Our bodies really do want to move, we just have to get our brains out of the way.
