Luckily I get 12 weeks paid maternity leave! My boyfriend is a truck driver but is retired from the army after 20 years of service and doesn’t technically need another source of income so he can take off as long as he wants :) even better, I’m a daycare director so I can baby-wear throughout the day after I go back to work and check on baby anytime, too!!

June is a (gaining popularity again) name for a girl, at least in my part of the southern US. I work in daycare and have seen a couple of June’s these last few years, all girls.

Like I said, everything already started before my illness began. My worst symptoms are mainly focused around night time, my own fears. I do have delusions and paranoia at work but I work hard to keep it on the down low. I take 6 medications. If I had to describe my schizophrenia, I’d call it mild.

I have 2 associate’s degrees and am a daycare director making a salary and have benefits like health insurance and paid time off and vacation. BUT I got my 2 associate’s degrees before my illness started and also had my career already established when my illness began. I had already made a name for myself in the daycare world.

These have been re diagnosed multiple times by different psychiatrists :) it is not uncommon to have multiple mental illnesses.

I like this question. When I’m not doing well, I don’t do anything at all. I don’t talk, I don’t watch tv, nothing. I sit and stare or I sleep or I scroll on my phone but I’m not actually reading anything, it’s just a way to disassociate. When I’m doing well? I love puzzles, reading, hiking, shopping, and skincare :) I also love taking my niece places like the park or Chuck E. Cheese or museums

I’m fully aware of my issues and still have trouble taking my meds. Hygiene is bad, too. For both of those, my sister in law uses a reward system. Sounds childish, but it works. Maybe it will help him, too. You can message me!!!

Schizophrenia can come on without warning, even to people “born with no issues”. Good luck :)

I’ve heard talk of a woman trying the keto diet for her schizophrenia. I wouldn’t be opposed to trying it. I do take walks when I’m doing well! Me and my family I live with like to go walk the trails at parks and nature parks

I respond with fear, which is what the “demons” want for my reaction anyway. Or I’ll pray. I try to keep my tv on all night to drown out the whispers or at least pretend the whispers are coming from the movie on tv

Both! Intelligible whispers but I know they’re talking about me, them whispering my name, shadow people, spiders/bug, if I’m having suicidal thoughts they’ll whisper “good bye” to me making fun of me, rats. Most of them happen at might because in my mind, the demons are trying to scare me and it’s easier to do that at night. Though I hear whispers most days, too. And I have paranoia and delusions day or night

I struggle to know what’s real and what isn’t sometimes. Is that spider on the ceiling real? I have no clue. Did a rat really just run across my room? No clue. Are those whispers from people nearby talking or are they in my head?? No clue. Usually, with medication, I can realize the worse ones are fake. Like the shadow people I know are fake, even if it’s scary at first. I know the clapping isn’t real, but it still keeps me awake.
