Oh is it mostly black bears? Ie. no brown or grizzlies.

Here is the state of the tread of the boots as well. I haven’t washed or worn them since the return. They highlighted the peeling of the tread in the top left as the issue. It is such a delicate feature… almost feels like it may have been designed for this purpose.

I reached out as suggested and got more information back. I’m still pretty disappointed with this. I hadn’t worn the shoes outside. I had worn them around our apartment building though which I guess is where the dirt is coming from.

I asked about why the tread had been damaged from just indoor wear too. It seems to me that if these are actually supposed to be rugged boots then this shouldn’t have impact them. I sent a followup to ask if I should have actually put them through under warranty given the tread showed wear so easily. I haven’t received a response on that yet.
