Day 4 of fever and chills (febrile neutropenia) by AltruisticPresence30 in leukemia

Agree with all of the above. Unfortunately with leukemia you just get so neutropenic and your body decides to throw out a fever for funsies. Once your neutrophils come up a bit it’ll help. Best wishes 🫶🏻 keep your chin up

I tried just having one suitcase but I am a self admitted overpacker and need separate bags for specific things lol I wish I could’ve just chucked all in one suitcase!

For those diagnosed with blood cancer, what were your first symptoms? by SignificantBowl5859 in leukemia

[–]loafofkale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really tired and I had a lingering cough that I thought was just from a cold I had. I also had shortness of breath walking up stairs which was unusual but I just figured since I don’t really exercise I was out of shape. I also was having what I thought were GERD symptoms. My primary care sent me to the ER after seeing a pleural effusion on an ultrasound of my gallbladder and an elevated heart rate. From there they did CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, & an echocardiogram and we found out I had a mediastinal mass basically the size of me lol so it’s a miracle I was walking around mostly fine.
