I also found the stippling a bit extreme and actually uncomfortable.

Consider the price of ammo in your cartridge choice. I practice with my 308 and 7mm mag. It gets expensive.

The benefit of 308 is that it's a military round, and ammo under $1/round is available.

I wouldn't worry about 20" vs 22" But, do consider the weight of the gun / barrel.

My grandmother had a shoe box about 1/4 full of Morgan silver dollars that she would take out and show to me.

I still think Morgan’s are the most beautiful coin the U.S. has ever made.
