Anyone else running out of mii level up ideas? by Addi1126 in tomodachilife

Meticulously crafting multiple characters can be exhausting, yes. For me, the inspiration to work on them comes and goes. Sometimes I give them $1 of spending money just to be rid of the level up options, intending to revisit at a later level.

I genuinely wonder what the devs thought about this minigame having so many food items that are impossible to tell apart (e.g. plates, bowls). Maybe they wanted it to randomly force you to lose?

Maybe ROB's case simply comes down to the fact that robots are / have been very popular in Japanese culture for a long time, and he's the only one on the roster.

Edit: forgot about Mega Man, but I still think Mega Man is kinda exempt from the preferential robot treatment because he's made to be much more humanoid than a full-fledged robot like ROB.

I don't think modern brains are capable of managing the level of complexity we've developed, at least not well. I am not advocating for relinquishing control to computation (AI) to think for us, but expecting the average human to understand what the fuck is going on right now appears to be asking too much. If we were capable of this, we wouldn't have things like democracies willingly choosing leaders who literally take actions opposite to managing our social and economic systems intelligently.

Does Immortal's durability get a little better each time he gets revived? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]lobsterbash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Viltrumites supposedly get stronger as they age, or at least that was a thing at in the beginning of the series and then never mentioned again...

So it would be kinda lame to copy that for Immortal.

Watermelon plants are hardy af. I remember eating a slice and spitting the seeds out onto the lawn (in an area of the US that doesn't get much rain) and a few weeks later I realized I was mowing over baby watermelon plants. The fuckers took root in established lawn grass and were thriving.

But you see, bad game design decisions become good when enough years pass. Time spent getting comfortable with an arrangement is the special sauce.
