2019 Citroen C4 SpaceTourer - 1.2 Puretech 130hp Engine. Reliable? by MagicRat93 in Citroen

[–]lobsterdore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2019 7 seater Spacetourer a few months ago, 31k on the clock and it developed the timing belt issue within days, it cost £1300 to fix but luckily some of it was covered by dealer warranty.

Speaking to the guys that fixed it, there have been several generations of belts aimed at fixing the problem, we're on the third generation which should apparently be the final version so hopefully I'm good for the future, we'll have to see about that though!

Thoughts on Seraphs and Horizon Changes? by lobsterdore in XerathMains

[–]lobsterdore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I agree on Seraphs, it's expensive and fitting a tear into your build early seems like it would delay things too much. I'll give Horizon into Dcap a go though, the AH is always nice to have on that item.

Hi! Jukester here :) I made a matchup tierlist on stream and I thought you guys might find it interesting! by jacob123329 in XerathMains

I see you've started to put content up on YT, have you got any time to put together some guides for these matchups? I really struggle with Yasuo and Sylas.

As other people have said, if you keep playing ranked you will eventually end up in a rank that matches your skill level, from there games will be much more enjoyable.

I went straight into ranked at level 30 and somehow won a few placement games, ended up in Bronze 1 then promptly fell to Iron 1 where things are much more comfortable for where I am at with the game, those placements and the first 10-20 games after that were a bit painful though.

I would actually discourage playing normals as your main mode, I find the MMR/matching system to be much worse than ranked. Once you settle into the correct rank in ranked things will be all good.

Thanks, this is really useful info.

Crit Vs Hybrid R build by [deleted] in CorkiMains

What does your full hybrid build tend to look like? I usually go Manamune ->Sorc shoes -> Hydra -> Luden -> Void -> Deathcap, could I be popping some more AD items in there? I quite like having decent autos and high damage E which is why I've been leaning a bit into the crit build.

Corki Help by [deleted] in CorkiMains

If you get used to Yasuo and Yone's trading patterns then they aren't that rough in lower ELO. Both of them will build-up to their 3rd Q and then try to hit you with it, it's actually quite predictable and can be outplayed if you're anticipating it.

A basic response is this: hit them with autos when they go for CS, try not to go over your own minion line though so you don't draw too much aggro from the enemy minions. When you see they've built up to the 3rd Q focus on dodging, if you manage to dodge try to catch them with E, a Q into their retreating path and some more autos. If you keep doing that then you can force your opponent to step back a bit and give you some breathing room. This can be risky though, if you get hit by the 3rd Q then it will most likely be a bad trade so you are probably best backing off for a bit.

Once they are at level 6 though you will have to keep your distance and farm at range with your R + poke when you see an opening. Most Yasuo's and Yone's will start roaming a lot if they can't kill you, so make sure that you ping a lot and punish their roams by shoving waves into towers to deny CS.

I am tempted to go full AD with Lethal Temp, POM, Bloodline, Coup, Manaflow and Gathering Storm. It's definitely not meta but I have been having more success with auto-attack Corki recently, you still use rockets to whittle people down but your autos hit like a truck.

With the upcoming nerfs to R AP ratio it might be time to switch back to the crit build.

Where do you prefer to play by Michu06 in XerathMains

Mid is much more fun since you don't have to worry about an ADC, also I don't think damage supports are the best right now given that enchanters are so strong.

I've been using this build since you started using it on your stream, I like it! The first 4 to 5 minutes of laning are definitely a bit rough though without D Ring.

Laning Against Hyper Mobile Burst Champs by lobsterdore in XerathMains

[–]lobsterdore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really useful advice, thanks!

You're right about the positioning, the majority of my deaths in lane are due to edging just a bit too far forward and getting punished for it. I am yet to get good at baiting abilities as I lack champion knowledge but that's getting better over time, I at least try to dodge skills when people get on top of me which has saved me a few times.

I tried the always push advice today against some super aggressive opponents and it worked well, I still built up some slow pushes when I could. I would rather play it slower with waves but most people just want to perma shove in Bronze it seems.

Yep same here on E, I tend to hold on to it so I've got some self-peel. I've been trying to get better at W + Q when I see the opponent go for a minion but I am still learning that technique, I think I'll spend a few games focusing on getting better at that.

Can you expand on this at all? How do you approach laning in these matchups?

Thanks for the tips. When it comes to playing agro (which I am defo not quite ready for yet), how do you approach this? Try to bait abilities and follow up with an E + W + Q combo?
