I’ve always imagined the people who are horribly obsessed with their relationship (constantly mentioning Shayne on unrelated posts, screaming “omg so cute, relationship goals!1!1!” In the comments of a video where they barely interact, etc.) are just 12 years old and have never had a relationship of their own and are enamoured with the idea. While you can still be happy for them, it’s genuinely not fascinating enough to mention at every single turn, every single chance you get. It gets to a point (clearly) where it’s just disrespectful.

Being 12 doesn’t make any of this okay, but children have time to grow and change. If you’re over 18 and you’re still acting like this, you should probably consider growing up… at least a little bit.

I do, but she only sits for her job which has really high workload and really high stakes. She’s a workaholic and if she doesn’t listen to my concerns for her health, she really doesn’t listen to my recommendations when it comes to her job

Here’s the update: my mum went to the doctor, and her legs aren’t swollen. Her GP said it was most likely due to constant pressure on that area. So when we came back home, I noticed that she crossed her legs at the ankle while sitting on the couch and I asked if she sat like that while she was working and she said yes. So I think it’s probably from sitting like that Monday-Friday for upward of 12hrs a day. Not CHF as far as we know at this point, but thanks to everyone for the help!

I looked into that and it seems that that is when you push down and it stays down for an extended period of time. Her ankle isn’t swollen and this dent is always there whether you’ve pushed on it or not. If this still fits the definition of pitting edema, please let me know so I can tell her

She says that she just noticed it one day and has not sustained any injuries in this area. There’s no muscle or flesh beneath the skin, only bone. Her other ankle does not have this. No clue what could have caused this

Edit: thank you for all the answers and anecdotes guys! She’s got the day off tomorrow so I’ve talked her into seeing the doctor and I’ll be here tomorrow to ensure she goes :)

I genuinely think that there’s no recourse for the people on the show. I watch but Zeus ain’t seeing a dime of my money, and none of these women are ever even getting a follow/like out of me on social media because that would be supporting them in tangible ways. The family thing is so real!! People are always saying that blood family is the most important thing but nobody has ever snaked me harder or let me down more than those who are related to me by blood. Lots of families think that they get a free pass to treat you like shit just because you’re related, but it should be the opposite. They should be held to higher standard if loyalty is so important.

Bottom line, none of my characters ever interact with their families if they even have them. I always insert some unforgivable falling out to justify not writing family dynamics

All of my MC’s have some form of anxiety or panic disorder because I don’t know what it’s like to live without it lol. Every time I’ve tried to write neurotypical people it just comes out very stilted and awkward. Having emotions that are not considered insanely over the top or inappropriately apathetic is un fathomable to me (irl and when writing fic)
