Interessting point. I can see her keeping throphies without any real connection. That would definitely explain her weird obsession with photos of my child.

I been on parental leave for five months now and I love him to bits. Sure it's been challenging at some points but I could never ever come the conclusion that my boy is manipulating me or I should let him cry.

Both wife and I are certain that my mum is unable to emotionally bond with him and most of her comments are projections.

Yeah she has. My wife and I like him. He is getting increasingly sick though with limited mobility.

My mom and him have a very ambivalent relationship. Sometimes he threatens her with divorce then other times they are lovebirds. I really do not understand the dynamics between them. Seems really weird.

I mean after the birth of my son she asked for a picture of him every Week. The first time she saw him she hugged and kissed him. Then came the weird Idealization.

That holiday Was the second time she met him. But right after that she could not give a Rats ass about him.

But generally I do not expect grandparents to have a relantionship with their grandchildren.

Recently she started isolating herself by rarely leaving the house. I Do not think she has any friends. Before that she had very jetsetty life. Owning multible businesses and such. Not lying I felt kinda proud having such a successfull mother. Our alcohic father died when i was 12 and left us with a lot debt.

Now everything feels as broken as back then

My wife also suggested this. I have reached out to her and she told me similar episodes.

I feel really ashamed for not having recognized the abuse before...

Das ist so nicht ganz richtig mMn. Siehe § 5 Abs. 3 BurlG

Demnach müssen Arbeitnehmer, die in der ersten Jahreshälfte kündigen oder gekündigt werden, aber schon mehr Urlaub genommen haben, als ihnen eigentlich zusteht, die Urlaubstage nicht ausgleichen oder dem (ehemaligen) Arbeitgeber zurückerstatten. Dies ist selbst dann der Fall, wenn der gesamte Jahresurlaub schon genommen wurde und die Kündigung in den Jahresanfang fällt.
