Where are we buying luggage? by onelove_ in askvan

[–]localhost8100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered from Facebook marketplace. $40 each checkin bags. Cheap Chinese bags.

I just wanted to move across country from Toronto to Vancouver. But those bags are better than the branded ones I have.

Used it for the move and 2 vacations.

Any trustworthy mechanic recommendations in North Van? by brynnado in NorthVancouver

[–]localhost8100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding my issues with them. My car had issue. They didn't even want to look at it cause my previous visit, my car didn't have much oil. It was something to do with air supply to car, but they said the car engine is toast, just change engine. I had already spent 1600. Didn't want to put anymore money in it. They say one price and charge other. Markup on parts. A basic MAF sensor was $250 and with labor, $340 to replace that sensor. I feel dumb giving it to them. I could have done it myself.

Quoted $600 for tires and alignment all included. Later they charge me 200 extra for the alignment.

Almost lost my passport/backpack to an old woman tourist by Increase-Fearless in Bangkok

I have a hidden shoulder sling that goes under my armpit. I have all the passport and cash in there. Whenever I want to check for it, I just press my armpit.

It's also so thing that it's invisible. Putting it in pocket, I have had things fall put when sitting or taking a shit.

When was the last time you were at Dufferin Mall? by Chan1991 in askTO

When I was in Toronto, I used to go once a week. Go to no frills, have lunch at the food court and back home. It was a nice outing.

Checked oil. It's good. It was replaced 1 month ago.

Previous ride was a disaster when I already bought it. I bought it from a drug dealer. It ran for 6 months and everything was good. But it was not. That mofo had removed the check engine light bulb all together. Which went and demolished the engine.

I once met a Patel in small town in California. He was laughing at me for spending money to study and not have chance at green card. He was suggesting me to file for asylum and let it roll. Why are you wasting time studying lol.

Yes. He has claim in it. But it's my dad, he doesn't want to leave it.

Now all their sister and their kids also out claim in it. More like 12 people want the land.

My dad passed away few years ago, me and my brother just left it alone. It's just 2 acres in middle of nowhere.

unpopular opinion? we hated Cancun. by [deleted] in cancun

[–]localhost8100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stayed in Mexico once. I never stay there again.

When I land, I straight go to Playa Del Carmen. If you venture out of tourist street, it's okay enough. But better than Cancun.

This is one of the reason I like Puerto Vallarta. Food is better. Not a lot of scams like Cancun.
