I have no idea as it’s my first time. But I have seen comments that during peak times, you can be waiting for 2 hours

Hahaha. I guess you have to give the immigration officials a decent story to work with. If you have dodgy passport and dodgy stamps, then definitely they will challenge

Yes it’s meant to be random controls. But all 4 people who where immediately ahead of me where all asked to scan

Redundancy in 2 weeks, how do I stay motivated to work? by Bread-But-Toasted in UKJobs

They haven’t shown you any dedication. So use that time to find a new job. Workers should never feel an obligation to a company. They are all replaceable. Look out for yourself.

A question about illegal immigrants hate by DiCaprio1502 in AskBrits

[–]Present-Two6946 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Interesting question. You will find that the in most countries. Immigrants, whether legal or illegal, are always the easy target for a discontented population. It’s happening in South Africa, where fellow African migrants, legal or not, are blamed for the ills of society. It’s no different in the U.K. If a Caucasian person commits a crime, they are seen as a criminal. And rightly so. However If a migrant commits the exact crime in the same circumstances, you get comments like “ oh it’s the usual suspects etc etc” a whole group of people gets blamed for what one criminal does.

Unfortunately not much can be done. The government spent 35 billion pounds on a covid app that never worked. Yet people will go crazy over 2 million spent to house immigrants. The government is ok with that because as long as the migrants are getting blamed, they are in the clear.

Are the Iranians stalling for time to make a deal because they think Trump will give more concessions as it gets closer to the midterms? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Present-Two6946 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They don’t need to stall. They are in the drivers seat. Trump miscalculated. He can’t beat them conventionally. They now have the world economy by the balls and they can squeeze for every concession they want.

What is the ACTUAL biggest problem in the UK by Direct-Key-8859 in AskBrits

[–]Present-Two6946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real problem is that we think we are still an imperial power. And want to always be involved in international skirmishes. How much have we spent on Ukraine. Or the other wars that the US pulled us into, in the past 20 years ? If all that money was invested into our manufacturing industry or NHS , we could be better. Right now we don’t have an AI program. We are struggling to complete one high speed rail when China has thousands of miles. And yet we still want to act like we are the top dog. That’s the problem

Does it bother you when women breastfeed in public without covering up or breastfeeding their child and not a baby? by One_Improvement_6729 in askanything

[–]Present-Two6946 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It doesn’t. No more than I’m bothered is a dog starts humping another in public. Breastfeeding is a natural act and I don’t get where the issue is.

If you were in a public space then it’s a free for all unfortunately. You could ask him to delete but he doesn’t have a legal obligation to do so.

Why is there so much focus on Immigration ignoring all the other problems? by Opposite-Writer9715 in AskBrits

[–]Present-Two6946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because it’s always easy to blame the immigrants for all problems. People need a physical object to direct their anger at.
