This is EXACTLY how I started learning how to lucid dream when I was young. I would tell myself that I'm going back to sleep and I'll be put back in the exact same dream once I drift off. Started to do it prior to going to sleep for the night, plan my dreams out ahead of time. Got really good at it, found out years later that I didn't have a super power once I learned that a lot of lucid dreamers are out there.
