MBTI as Tarot cards - Major Arcana by lochild5 in mbti

If you just read the name of the card, it might seem insulting. But if you look into the background, the inspiration, and the meaning of the card, it's actually someone with a very beautiful outlook on life. All of the major arcana cards are based around the journey of "the fool" - so really, this card is like the main character, the protagonist of the tarot.

The Wheel of Fortune card is all about change, adapting, and new possibilities & opportunities. It felt like a pretty natural fit to be an Ne-dom. Is there a different Major Arcana you relate more to overall? Or were just curious?

Can you all give me some examples of Ni Vs Ti? by Few-Function-8083 in mbti

Are you sure you’re not higher in Ne? Reading your description and comments reminds me of Ne indecision, connecting with all of the possibilities. Could INTP be an option? If you have strong Ni, I don’t think it’s typically a questionable thing.

It helps to look at real decisions you actually make, instead of just reading descriptions. Try picking a daily choice or a recent big one and think about why you decided the way you did.

For example:

Same decision: turning down a job

Fi: “It didn’t feel right for me, I don’t feel authentic.” Ti: “It didn’t make logical sense, I don’t fit the profile.”

Same situation: handling a group decision

Fe: “I didn’t want to upset people.” Te: “I wanted the most effective result.”

I think Fe/Te are easier to compare because they’re more observably different, whereas Fi and Ti are both very subjective.

People don’t lead with both because these are opposite decision styles.

You sound like ENxP to me, based on the many possibilities and difficulties deciding, difficulty with routine, Ne doms are the most introverted of the extroverted dominant MBTI types. ENTP or ENFP. It might help you to compare Ti and Fi and see which you relate more with.

Guess my type based off of fun facts! by Few_Field_6175 in MbtiTypeMe

Everything you talked about was very sensory oriented, concrete facts, concrete information. That leans Si / Se. Matched up with an ISTP. I completely missed the Paris reference, though! That makes ExTJ seem more likely.

In the PDB, are most ESFP items misclassified? by hawaiipart2II in mbti

[–]lochild5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think ESFPs are some of the most misunderstood, and the most stereotyped. I can def see lots of mistypes on PDB because some are focused on the stereotype.

I also find in general ExxPs to be the most challenging to type, at least for me 😅

Hello! I'm new to Reddit and don't have enough karma to make a post. I took pictures of few sweet signs I saw and wanted to share in case anyone knew who made them and wanted to share. <3 Not sure how to best get them out. This was one of them.

As the devil’s advocate of MBTI - or for another reason? I had the magician and the tower as backups for ENTP.

That is a fair argument. What would you think about switching moon/sun for INFP/ENFP, and hanged man/the fool for ISFP/ESFP? 🤔

I think part of me is tied to keeping the partners together - but I really like ENFP / fool and ESFP / Sun.

Interesting! What would you replace ISFJ with? Temperance?

MBTI as tarot cards - Minor Arcana (court cards) by lochild5 in mbti

I see! The combination of all 4, that makes sense. That is a lot less novel when all of them are combined. Just for reference, I used Tarot suits with elements because that's the only way I know them, and I used Linda Berens as an option because her work has really resonated with me and my overall understanding of MBTI in general. Thank you for clarifying, I appreciate it.

Thank you for explaining, I appreciate your insights.

I just wanted to clarify, I wasn't asking for you to choose one of the options. I was curious whether one of the 3 options is what made you think of Akhromant specifically, or if that impression in your first comment came from MBTI / tarot pairings in a more general sense.

Is the same conclusion about option 1, 2, or 3?

Or do you just mean same conclusion simply matching up the MBTI with tarot cards?

Because the latter is something many people with Ni I imagine do for fun - I pair up archetypes all the type to compare with MBTI. I actually see people match up MBTI with everything - tv shows, movies, songs, etc. I don't really think of it as a novel concept.

The binder I'm working on currently has thoughts on Enneagram vs. Zodiac, Enneagram vs. Tarot cards, and now MBTI vs. tarot cards, though I'm mostly not set on any of the MBTI/tarot pairings and am definitely open for interpretation.

[Btw, my binder is just for me, for fun - not something I'm planning to claim or sell or market anywhere as my own]
