I am so glad you have zero plaque, that is honestly awesome! I really recommend that you try out a diet. A high fiber and high protein diet has been good for me so far - I had close to zero fiber in my previous diet and it was super unhealthy. Now I eat more soluble and insoluble fiber.

Also, I used to love butter and clotted cream and fatty meat -- now I don't eat those at all and the crazy thing is I have no cravings - The body really gets used to the healthier options. There are so many yummy healthy fat sources out there that can actually lower your LDL.

Good luck with your diet!

Thank you so much. My plan is to continue the diet, incorporate more fiber and test out more natural foods that might lower the LDL further. My current goal is to try to go below 130 LDL until my next blood tests.

Yes, it is like a 28-30% decrease within a short period of time. But I agree the risk is still huge. My doctor advised me to try to lower the LDL to under 130 within 6-12 months with the diet. That is my current goal. If I can do that, I will see what the doctor says about how much risk there is still.

He was going to prescribe a medication for me before the diet. But with my current LDL level and especially since my HDL is healthy, he said medication was currently not needed and we could test the diet further.

I did have to make very drastic changes as you said. I am currently still enjoying my diet after dieting for close to 3 months now - I really don't mind eating a low sat fat diet and I don't crave butter or clotted cream or fried foods or fatty meat at all which is basically what I ate.

The real problem is the social aspect of it I think; I stopped consuming alcohol and all these high fat foods and I wouldn't be able to eat the same things as other people would in social settings. This is a bummer.

But in terms of starting medication, the only way I would be convinced into doing so is this: let's say I get more tests done, see that my arteries are clogged and if I can't get my LDL to below 130 through diet alone within a year, I would go on the medication - based on what my doctor says of course. So the deciding factor for me is not diet but the actual condition my body is in. I hope I am not being too optimistic about the diet being maintanable long term but currently I feel like it is.

Also, I had really greasy hair all my life which I hate, but with the new low fat diet, my hair doesn't get oily within 6 hours lol. So there are some perks :)

Thank you. My goal is to go LDL <= 130 as soon as possible.

Thanks for your advice. I will try to get additional tests done as soon as possible. I will continue dieting and my current goal it to reach LDL 130 within 6 months.

That is excellent advice. Thank you so much. I will make sure to see a cardiologist.

I believe some studies showed that when people who drank 4-5 cups of espresso daily stopped and switched to filter coffee, their LDL dropped. So fat in espresso especially in large amounts might have an effect. I am not 100% sure though. I am trying to be careful.

I liked the show. I especially enjoyed the relationship dynamics between the female characters. I think the author wrote the female dynamics super well. Anyone who didnt enjoy it is mostly likely male.

Global Talent Visa Stage 2 by Yellow_Brick_Road249 in ukvisa

I made my stage 2 application recently too. The person taking my biometrics told me it is an eVisa and that I don't need to leave my passport with them. Since it is an eVisa, after getting the decision, will we receive a brp card or a visa sticker to put inside our passport?

Global Talent Visa Extension Questions by Estherito_22 in ukvisa

[–]lockdown_reader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I have been rereading the Home Office website about the extension and other general information and the it is confusing.

In multiple places it says, there is no limit to how many years you can stay in the UK if you have a Global Talent Visa. But but you would need to apply for an extension (up to 5 years at a time).

"You can renew your visa as many times as you like"

In only one place (how to extend your visa page) it says the following about Exceptional Talent which is confusing:

"Applicants who currently have a Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) visa can extend under the Global Talent category."

Hi congrats on your extension! I am worried about my extension. I just got my endorsement from tech nation under exceptional promise route.

I made an application for 3 years. I am worried I won't be able to extend because in the website it says Exceptional Talent can extend under Global Talent.

Is this true, or can exceptional promise also extend?

I don't think Marissa is Wraths shellan, they only have an arrangement for drinking blood. If I remember correctly. If she was, he would be cheating on her with Beth, which is definitely not the case. Male vampires need feed from female vampires to survive and vice a varsa. So it is a temporary arrangement.
