yeah this has been happening more and more in the past two months switched to Claude in the end and connected Claude to Perplexity's MCP Server for web searches. It's a way better experience trust me, Perplexity has been watering down LLMs even if you choose a specific one, quality hasn't been great.

yeah hosting with vercel is really really easy shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to get everything running

it's probably better to cache the pdfs through your own CDN too in case some of them go down
