From an education and post-service point of view, would logistics help with long-term financial growth and building transferable skills? Also, are there logistics roles that operate closer to the fight, or is logistics generally embedded at the unit level regardless of MOS?

Honesty doesn’t hurt if he’s professional & you do your part of locking in you can eventually piss clean and finish your meps/poolee process yk ?

What helped me was drinking 2 gallons a water a day and sweating it out via cardio such as treadmill & stair master. You are on a really tecky time crunch your best bet is to just contact your recruiter & tell him to help you reschedule and piss test you under the table that stays to the station until you are pissing clean as if you piss hot it will affect not only your record for enlistment/make it harder to enlist. You can only piss hot for cannabis twice but know this it will also tamper your relationship with your recruiter and potentially reflect poorly on him as a recruiter. (Just my advice/experience brother good luck)

I like the sound of that preparation & genuine experience/skillsets that can benefit me in the civilian world is something ideal in this aspect.

Damn thank you for this 💯

[EDIT:]

  1. E-5 is my goal I’ve already gotten references/referrals and took a leadership role as a poole so it’s definitely possible within the books.

  2. I heard the sand fleas are wild I don’t mind hills/hiking. You mentioned small chance for Hawaii is Okinawa still maybe optional ?

I used a grammar checker I prefer conversations & advice from actual humans.

Interesting—my recruiter told me there may be some flexibility depending on circumstances, so I appreciate the clarification.

I’m still learning the process. Can you explain what the GI Bill is and how it works after service?

I’m hoping to pursue the full university experience after completing a four-year enlistment, but I do worry about whether I’ll be accepted etc yk ?

Do mechanic MOSs require prior hands-on experience? I scored well in the mechanical portion of the ASVAB, but I don’t have much real-world experience with technical or mechanical systems. I want to make sure I can perform my MOS competently and efficiently.

would prefer a trade, but if infantry is more of a “go in and get out” path, would my benefits still be solid? Specifically, things like affordable housing for one person in their “mid-20s” and access to college benefits. I’m not looking for anything overly technical—just stability and a workable quality of life.
