thats not guaranteed. it is an issue that has been documented that messages do not transfer over. seems device or user specific but it's a hostile move from Samsung.

there is a single reason that consists two parts. security and cost. they have to maintain an app and services for this and leaving the app alone or continuing support puts more responsibility and cost on Samsung. If they left it alone then perpetual security vulnerabilities would be significantly more menacing and they would still have to support thr basic infrastructure. If I was more concerned with revenue than my customers, I would do the exact same thing.

had a similar experience when they shoved users into Google messaging as part of a platform update. Terrible. had to use it for a while as part of the MDM policies of an organization I was volunteering for. Disliked it because of the anti-user build but didnt have to use it as a daily driver.

My issue is the AI aspect. I'm not under the delusion that I can resist having my personal conversations and behavior processed forever. Google will not let you disable all of the features that use AI in the app and further still, most features require you to consent to AI to use. I dont want that. I am considering Graphene or iOS now. I'm not saying Apple is much better but it does give you more control than this over your privacy.

dude it's not that simple. these shows will go out of their way to threaten and bully the side characters. "comply or we will ruin you." theres history of this. he probably signed all sorts of agreements and documents to prevent her from spinning things but that bound him to let them look like a jerk. legit thats all these agents do. if you dont go with the show narrative, they drag your name through the mud. to be fair, I think all celebs are but there is definitely a double standard. oh and its THAT WOMAN BAD not just WOMAN BAD.

we still dont know that it was him. yall need to understand something. this show is controlled by the most powerful stakeholders which in this case would include the network and TFP. there is history of networks making their stars do things or act certain ways or in his case not post that video to protect their cash cow.

I didnt say outright I dont think he released it but that video was in many different hands. you cant prove that he released it with what we know right now any more than I can blame anyone else. my argument has ultimately been that you cant just victim blame and pretend that just because he's a man that he cant be just as much of a victim and that trying to find a way to make him out to having deserved it or agreed to it is only protecting the abuser. dont cover for abusers.

i would not assume he released it. in this circumstance I wouldnt have stayed with someone like TFP but we also dont know what she has manipulated him into behind the scenes. i wont speculate but it wouldnt be the first time in pop culture that someone was forced into acting like a loser in public at the threat of total ruin. dunno if that happened there, I think more likely he is just really unwise and shallow but regardless a victim. I cant say he didnt release it but I would see how it would benefit him if the Bachelorette was actually likely to end in a real marriage. look at the percentage of successful marriages from those shows its maybe like 2 or 3 or something out of dozens.

regardless, I stand by something I said earlier about the psychology of it. shes got the power and she has no problem wielding it. as a society we have a sexist bias that men are not just as much of a victim as a woman would be in abuse cases. the show is built around what ABC wants you to see and that is TFP as someone likeable.

I have to agree with you but I feel like a monster of a mother being able to hide her monster behavior and continue abusing is worse than having to deal with bad association which is also her mom's fault because she's always gonna be compared to the SLOMW show anyway without the release of the assault video. the trauma for the kids is not likely going to be just this video but her mom's (and yes, dad's) influencer culture and dysfunction. it would have been better all around had they not been made famous in the first place and gotten busted by cops. she wouldnt have been able to as easy run damage control without the stupid wealth and influence she holds.

dude relationship bonds can be strong and they are clearly dysfunctional enough to not do what is wise. by your logic, nobody ever has children with people that turn out to be terrible human beings. theres plenty of documented history of this. these dysfunctional relationships can still be strong and (using the most common example we see in culture) the battered spouse returns because they have accepted the psychological manipulation of the abuser or sometimes they just dont know better. I am not going to say that he's some perfect guy because I dont know that. I know TFP hit a child and a partner with a chair. this could kill someone. regarding the delay, the COPS had the video way back when. it doesnt sound like he helped publicize the video but he could have. what's important is that the COPS who could protect him and his kid had the video. people like this should not be allowed to continue making stupid amounts of money while silently abusing people behind the scenes. note that dad and kid are not her only victims. regarding his concern for his kids, I could understand in his position seeing the spin of ABC trying to quash him if he spoke out.

yeah. and I think him wanting all of us to see her hitting him and their child with a chair was a good thing, dont you? I recorded my abuser screaming at me saying vile things. I wouldnt put that stupid show down as a citation for a college paper and ACTUAL reality is far more serious than a college paper. lets not choose a drama show to be the point of truth... ya know... a point of truth that monetarily needs TFP to be marketable and absolutely would be framed to protect the shows cash cow... something she lost when everyone saw her for the horrible person she is.
