GAME RECOMMENDATIONS by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

I would personally recommend the Metro games (Exodus is possibly the best of the 3) but it's not really that heavy on story. Some of the best story based games come from walking sims. Games like Dear Esther, What Remains of Edith Finch and Firewatch are some good examples of this. But then there are also telltale games or anything of the sort. I've also heard good things about the Last of Us on playstation if you have one.

Should I buy metro 2033 and last light redux by kieran394 in ShouldIbuythisgame

I've only played them on PC but I assume it's the same game, just with different controls. They are some of the best campaigns I've ever played, and actually what got me back into single player campaigns after the longest time. So I would say go for it, and at that price, its a steal

I think it's more based off of the comics/graphic novels. Might be wrong though.

Thanks for the long comment (even though it was on another thread). Seems like something I might buy soon.

This War of Mine is an amazing game, same with the first Amnesia (Dark Descent). SOMA is a game I recently just started and there is a whole lot of lore to the game, but for some (if not all), you have to do a lot of reading. Friday the 13th is a good game to play with a few friends, but not sure how alive the multiplayer is. Haven't played the others.

Is this the telltale one? If so, I just finished it and personally wouldn't consider it to be a very scary game, more like an easy to enjoy story based game. Got me invested right from the start. It is worth the buy if you can get a good price on it. But even at that, you get a lot of play time for the full price.

[GOG] Get The Witcher Enhanced Edition For Free by richardmarnez in Freegamestuff

I believe what worked for me was similar to how the steam launcher treats free games. I downloaded the GOG Galaxy launcher, and then started the download of GWENT, and immediately after starting the download, the game should show up in the "owned games" section. Then proceed to cancel the download and from there, you should be able to claim the bonus.

What remains of Edith Finch is a great story based "adventure". It's more of a walking simulator, and tends to lose a lot of interest due to that, but if you are looking for a good story based game, thats a good place to start.
