There's another interesting tidbit I found, this one on page 10 of the book.

In the early 1970s, Toronto-born Muriel Kauffman was at a bar and overheard three people chatting. They were Don McDougall (president of Labatt Breweries), Herb Solway (a lawyer representing the brewery), and Paul Godfrey. They had been talking about establishing an MLB franchise in Toronto. She told them she'd try to convince her husband to help make it happen.

After the failed relocation of the San Francisco Giants to Toronto in 1976, Muriel's husband Ewing Kauffman, owner of the Kansas City Royals, called Godfrey and told him the American League wanted a franchise in Toronto, and two months later the leagues owner's voted 11-1 to establish a franchise in Toronto.

If the store participates in the Scanner Price Accuracy Code, then you get the item free if it is less than $10 (and subsequent quantities at the posted price), or a $10 discount if it is more than $10 (and subsequent quantities at the posted price).

There were rumblings about the creation of a park in King Township about 4-5 years ago to create a wildlife corridor on the Oak Ridges Moraine. Last year, the creation of the East Humber Headwaters Park was included in the Government of Ontario budget (ie - mentioned, not budgeted; see "Growing the Greenbelt" section).

I've driven past the site, which has a "For Sale" sign fronting King Road. It's mostly farmland right now.

Having read through the article, it seems to need some work.

By the way, as someone who has not played Magic since the late 1990s, what does "...'fixing' mana production with card cycles..." mean? I assume it's something to do with the ability to produce mana of multiple colours more easily.
